One Euro ’16 PowerPoint quiz Two Euro ’16 activities: 1. Euro ’16 by dice: This game on your own or with friends. Needed is one six sided dice. Instructions: Throw the dice once for each team per match to decide the result of each fixture. The value for each face of the dice is: 1 = 1 goal 2 = 2 goals 3 = 3 goals 4 = 1 goal 5 = 0 goals 6 = 0 goals The top two teams in each group qualify, along with the top four third placed teams. In the knockout rounds, if the score is 0-0, throw the dice for each team again to get a result after extra time. If the teams are still level, throw for each team once more to decide who wins on penalties. This time each face of the dice is the face value. Results can be recorded in the work book. 2. Select your own squad activity: Students might be supporting a team, or not. They might be collecting stickers, or not. They might be collecting stickers, or not. Against the clock, countdowns are included on all necessary slides. • Split into teams of two. • Toss a coin to see which team goes first. • One person from each team takes turns to the front of the room, standing with their back to the whiteboard. • In two minutes the rest of the group describe the thing on the board to the person at the front • Keywords cannot be used. • The team have to make sure the person at the front can tell what they’re saying; so the team has to work together and listen to other people. • One point is scored for each word guessed correctly.
